Stitch Markers

I've been on a roll making stitch markers and with the contest I had, I thought why not make more. Here are a few that I have come up with and thought I'd sell. More to come.

They come in a set of four with the large marker to be used at the beginning of your work. These are great to use for circular knitting, lace knitting to mark pattern repeats and looming. All are glass beads with metal charms. (if made with charms)

Updated 3/18/07: I have moved these to an etsy shop so it was easier to buy more than one at a time. Also check as I should have more stitch markers up along with row markers this week. Here is the link to the etsy shop: http://loomydaze.etsy.com

Bag, tote and turkeys?

It is starting to definitely look like spring around here now. The crocus are up and my tulips and daffodils are starting to peek through the dirt. I can't wait. Warm weather is just around the corner! I was driving up our driveway this morning after going to an early morning appointment and saw the wild turkeys we hear every morning in our neighbors yard. I ran in to get the camera and got a picture of them. It's not a great picture albeit, but I at least got a picture and there is about 9-12 of them. They're HUGE!!

For Loom Class Graciela taught us her Ribbon Bag. I think it took me no more than 2 hours, if that, to create it. It turned out cute, I'm just trying to figure out now what to put in it. I'm sure I'll find something. Thanks Graciela!

I am also making more stitch markers I'll post them as I have time. I have been frantically trying to come up with things for our monthly KALs on Loom Knitting Exchange. Monday we started our first one but I can't reveal yet as to what it is. I will post a pic as soon as I have it finished and the posting of the KAL is over. Speaking of Loom Knitting Exchange, we had a cell phone tote exchange and this is what I came up with for Tamara. It (I hope) will fit a basic Nokia style phone. She will be able to see who is calling by just flipping up the top cover and she doesn't even have to take off the tote to recharge as it has a opening on the bottom for that. Pretty Cool huh?? Take a look.

Drum Roll Please! And the Winner is....

Kim Gambill is the winner of the Candy Heart contest for the stitch markers. Believe it or not there were 49 little candy hearts in the glass and Kim guessed 47. Congratulations Kim!!! This was fun. I hope to have more for other things to just to keep things lively on my end. Maybe next time I'll do a couple of skeins of yummy yarn. Stay tuned.

Keep on looming/knitting and have a great day!

Contest Time!!

I know, I know. It's been a week since I posted that it was my blog's anniversary and I was going to have a contest for 6 stitch markers, well I finally have them finished and a contest to go with it. YEA for me! This is quite an accomplishment since I usually just start a project, become bored with it and start another. oh well.

Here are the stitch markers you can win. They fit up to size US 7 needles and looms of the small and fine gauge. All you need to do is guess how many candy hearts are in this glass. Closest one will receive the stitch markers. Sound easy? It is...just send me an
email smcelheran @ gorge.net (take out the spaces) with your guess. I will announce the winner on my blog on March 7th. Will take guesses until March 6th.

Keep on looming/knitting. Have a great weekend!
